"...moved to California as a young girl and for many years was a secretary and accountant for a store in San Luis Obispo. After the death of Milton Trueblood and Martha (Trueblood) Enfield, her uncle and aunt, someone was needed to care for another aunt, Mary Trueblood, Milton and Martha's sister. Although Daisy was suffereing from anemia and a back injury from a car accident, she returned to Iowa to help during this time of need within the family. She cared for Mary Trueblood until her death in 1947 (aged 96 years). Daisy did not return to California; she fell and broke her hip at Belle Plaine and was an invalid in a Belle Plaine nursing home until her death in September, 1953. Daisy worked for years on the family genealogy." pg 138
