After the election of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1932, Mr. Trueblood was one of the group of architects who went to Washington to set up the FHA architect. In addition to his FHA work, he continued his private practice, which he had begun in 1911. Previously, he taught architecture at Washington University in St. Louis. In 1936, Mr. Trueblood was made a Fellow of the Amercian Institute of Architects.
Buildings he designed include; Carpenter Library; Rand-Johnson Memorial surgical wing; nurses' home of Barnes Methodist Hospital; the chapel of St. John's Methodist Church; Webster Groves City Hall; University City Junior High School Auditorium, and numerous residences. He also designed several buildings for Central College, Fayetteville, Mo., and with his late partner, Theodore C. Link, planned many government buildings in Mississippi. He had offices in the Chemical Building and was formerly chairman of the old Municipal Art Commission. In 1934, he was appointed Missouri Director of the Historical American Buildings Survey, and, just prior to his death, was chief architectural supervisor for eastern Missouri for the FHA." pg 126
