"....He m Martha Ann Gray, 11-29-1874, in Nodaway Co., Mo., where he had moved with his parents in 1867 from Salem. He had been trained as a carpenter by his father, and practiced that skill for many years. He and his family moved first to Kansas and then to Idaho about 1900 and lived in the county of Kootenai for 41 years. He was 89 years old when he fell in his home; this accident caused his death. Martha Ann passed away before her husband. ...Lindley Pitts and his relatives in Missouri were separated for so long that there was very little communication between them. Mr. Trueblood wrote when his father passed away, but that was all." pg 120
