He died 14 April 1901 in Missouri. Nancy TROWBRIDGE (RIN: 3201), daughter of Joseph TROWBRIDGE and Rachel BATTERSHELL , was born 13 June 1819 in Kentucky. She died 1885.

"...From his Obituary:
He was married to Nancy Trowbridge, 7-24-1836; they resided in Washington and Jackson Counties until 1867, when they moved to Nodaway County, Missouri, where they continued to live until his death, 4-14-1901, Atchinson twp., Nodaway Co. In his younger days, his occupation was that of a miller; he also taught school for a number of years; but during the later years of his life, he was a farmer.
About the year 1850, he joined the Sons of Temperance. So faithful did he hold that pledge, that within the last half century, not one drop of intoxicating liquor ever dampened his lips. . . In his early days, he united with the Quaker Church and was a member until his marriage, after which he withdrew. . .but up to his death, he believed in that faith. . . he was laid to rest in the Hazel Dell Cemetery, Hopkins, Mo., beside his faithful wife, whom he had survived sixteen years (Nancy d 1885)." pg 78
