"....unmarried.; All three of William T's daughter prepared themselves to teach; however, only Veda Beatty followed the planned profession. She was a fifth-grade teacher for many years in West Terre Haute. Her sister, Hilda Ruth (Trueblood) Lacey lived with Veda until the latter's death.
About 1918, Veda and her nephew, William Kessel, went through Cody, Wyoming, on their way to Yellowstone Park and visited with the writer's father, Dr. R. C. Trueblood, a physician practicing at that time in Buffalo Bill's home town. Then, in 1962, the writer took a trip to a few of the Trueblood haunts. In Louisville, where I was so hospitably received by the Anderson family, I learned that Veda Trueblood had been Dorothy (Felthoff) Anderson's fifth-grade teacher in West Terre Haute." pg 144
