"....died at the home of his daughter in Prairieton, Indiana, 12-8-1870. He came to Indiana to look the situation over before moving there.

This excerpt from the Joseph Henley Trueblood letter says:
I expect Jimmie will be in Carolina to bring out Anne Morgan, so he says, but Thee need not tell what I wrote about him but keep the latter part of the letter a secret and be my friend.

James and Anna (Morgan) Trueblood were in the party with Peggy and Jehosiphat Morris in the migration to Indiana in 1815. Jimmy bought land which is known today as the William Cain farm in the Highland community just across the road from his brother Nathan Trueblood.
(There are several discrepancies in the dates of these children. dates taken from E. Hicks Trueblood, Noble Trueblood, Clyde Trueblood Genealogies.)
James Trueblood and his wife Anna Trueblood are listed in the Census of 1850, Washington County, Washington township.
James Trueblood 54, male, white, farmer b N.C.

They lived in house 288, family 300 of the township.
