"Emma was a twin of Thomas Trueblood. Their mother Emma became ill while pregnant with them, and made arrangements for their care in the event of her death. Thomas was raised by their grandparents, Thomas and Kjisten Goodletson, and emma was adopted by an elderly Danish couple, Andrew and Mary Johnson of Ephraim. She loved them dearly
According to Ephraim Moravian Church records, Andrew was the son, by the confession of both parties of Emma Trueblood Johnson and Frank Valentine. He was also raised by the Johnsons, until his untimely death at not quite 10 years old. He was reported to have a sunny disposition, and was loved by all in the area."
